Hello everyone! Many times, when I am on the receiving end of bad customer service, I just roll my eyes and walk away from it. This time, however, I have decided to pass on my experience w/ "4-New Air, Inc." because it was so horrible and I would not want anyone else to have to deal with them. I encourage you to pass it on and warn those that might be looking to have their vents in their home/business cleaned out.

4-New Air Inc is based out of Schaumburg, but travels all over the northern IL area. They post coupons in a lot of the coupon brochures that get mailed to you. Yes, they are cheap, but here is what happened to us.

1. Tech used the "N" word within 5 minutes of being in our home. There is absoluely no excuse for this, ever! And when I called him out on it, he just started laughing at me. John, the manager called this a "personality conflict!"

2. As the tech walked through our house, he made comments about many of the nicer things that we own, as if he was "taking inventory".

3. The 4 New Air, Inc. coupon states that they insert brushes into your vents to clean them thoroughly. However, all the tech had was a leaf blower that he used to blow dust down into the furnace where a large vacuum was hooked up. They didn't even remove the covers on the return vents.
FALSE ADVERTISING!

4. I asked ahead of time if the tech would wear "booties" over his shoes so he didn't track dirt throughout the house. I was assured by Adam an hour before the tech arrived that this is customary and that all techs wear booties or take their shoes off. This tech did not know what I was talking about and ended up tracking dirt throughout the house. John, the manager, said they do not use them.

5. The tech showed up eating a candy bar as he came in my house, and proceeded to drop crumbs throughout the house. Probably the least of my worries while dealing w/ this company. But I picked up a few pieces of chocolate that he dropped in my office luckily before the dogs got to it.

6. When he was done, and walking the 8 inch vacuum hose up from the basement (which was still left on), he sucked up my REI vest. He was able to pull it out, only after it was ripped. My bluetooth was in the pocket of the vest, and is now gone. The company said it is not their issue and that it is standard to walk through the house with the large vacuum (with an 8inch wide opening) still running.

So now, our vents are not cleaned properly, my vest is ripped, my $100 bluetooth is gone forever, and this company says there is nothing they can do and they are not liable. I can only imagine what else gets vacummed up while in peoples homes.

John, the manager said "if I comped your visit, I'm not going to make any money!" My husband used the example of going to a restaurant. If a server used the "N" word in front of you, they would either be fired on the spot, or you would receive your meal for free. In some way, customer service would be kicked up a notch to make sure that you did not walk away unhappy and ready to tell everyone you know about the poor customer service. John, the manager of 4 New Air, Inc. however, said that the restaurant might give you a credit, but not comp the full meal. This company is clueless as to what the term "customer service" means. I have received a free meal ($40 meal), without even having to ask, when a hair was found in my soup.

I really do not want anyone else to have to deal with this company. They had an opportunity to make good on the situation and chose not to.
