I just got back my 2004 Suzuki Forenza for a $1,200 repair, they replaced the rack and pinion steering and also the right lower control arm. But, driving home from the dealer today, the car is still pulling to the right, and all of a sudden, the power steering pump is now whining, which was not happening before I dropped the car off at the dealership, last week. I immediately called the Service Department, but the Service Director already went home, so I hope he calls me back tomorrow. This is sounding like a "snowball" job to me, something I am very familiar with, from other car dealerships, only it's not going to happen again.
Pros : The cracking that I was experieincing in the front-right is gone, which they said was because of a problem with the rack and pinion, which they replaced. Also, they diagnosed a bad front-right lower control arm, that was causing a loose, up and down thumping sound whenever I drove over small bumps, so they also replaced the control arm.
Cons : Now, immediately after leaving the dealership, I discovered the car is still veering to the right, but in adddition, out of nowhere, the power steering pump is whining, which I hope they acknowledge and repair at no charge, because this problem definitely did not exist when I dropped the car off at their dealership, last week
