Montell Chevrolet

My cavalier was having start problems. I had it towed in on a Monday and it was ready that night. According to the technicians in service, it needed a new starter, batttery wires, spark plugs, and a fuel induction valve needed to be replaced or repaired. To be honest I don't remember because this had nothing to do with the problem of the vehicle. After spending $700, I found the same problem occurred the next morning. I had it towed back to their facility where they found that it was an electrical problem whenever the vehicle became too cold. It was an electrical switch costing about $40. They would not refund me any of my $700 as they had already done the work, despite the fact that their misdiagnosis was the reason I spent so much. I work at an Auto Insurance Co. and know that dealerships will work at a labor rate of as low as $24/hr for us. Montell charged me a ridiculous $109/hr for some of the worst service I have ever recieved. Phone calls that were promised were never returned. And I have yet to recieve a call back from the service manager and that was well over three weeks ago. Yesterday on my way to the chicago cubs game my car started to overheat and my power steering went out on the interstate. Apparently the technician at Montell had not tightened my screws on my water tank enough causing my belt to jump off its track. I had my vehicle towed. I HIGHLY DIS_RECCOMMEND ANY SERVICE AT THIS FACILITY. They are also being sued by the state of illinois for not repaying loans on trade in vehicles for their customers. Bad reputation for this place over all.
