There are surprisingly a small number of art supply stores in the city. Pearl probably has the largest selection available. Both fine art and craft supplies, plus a large paper selection. Student ID's get a discount. Prices are average. PROS: Large selection CONS: Service fluctuates

great products, good prices by Courtney B. at InsiderPages
This is a good store - more variety than one can image. It has a great selection of items from Knitting to high end drawing supplies. The book section tends to be a little ragged, but over all you will find what you came for. This store also gives a discount to the students and teachers - another 10%, which helps with things bein cheaper. It is also a good place to go if you are looking for a class - there are a lot of posting on the bulletin board.

Great quality, but prices show it by Jeff F. at InsiderPages
I love coming here because the staff are very friendly and the products are great. However, on my budget for teaching inner-city kids, I have a hard time justifying paying their prices all the time. Great store.
