Thomasville Furniture is a very nice furniture store but it is on the pricey side. Their furniture is very high quality but the pricing goes right with it. The service is really great and helpful and I have bought furniture here that I could not find anywhere else. This is the kind of furniture that when you buy it, it lasts forever and can be passed on from one generation to the next.

Lefty's Barbershop Rocks. I have been getting fancy salon style haircuts for years that cost $50-$60 dollars. When I decided to tighten my belt and save money I asked some friends for a barber shop recommendation. Three of my friends recommended Lefty's so I had to give it a shot. It's definitely not a fancy salon. It's a guys place with guys only. It's a small shop on busy Garnet but it's very cool. Most importantly, I got a fantastic hair cut at a great price. I was out the door for $20. The haircut cost $16 but I tipped well because I will be going back. Ask for Jason.

While shopping around for a new dining room table a few years ago I didn't want to buy the same style you see everywhere. I wanted something unique and cool. It took a long time to find a store that had what I wanted. That store was Furniture Warehouse. They have a wide range of different kinds and styles of furniture that you won't ind anywhere else. I bought a cool table that came from Indonesia the likes and style of which I had never seen before. It's a big warehouse, there a not a lot of sales guys running around trying to pressure you into buying anything. Once you get a sales person attention the service is good. This store / warehouse is definitely worth a look for dining room, living room or bedroom furniture.

I have been to a lot of veterinarians over the years. All Creatures Hospital is by far the best in North County San Diego. They have extended hours to take your pet in after work, a very friendly staff, close to the 5 freeway, reasonable prices but best of all happy patients. They spoil my dog when he's in there to get his nails trimmed and any other check up visits. I highly recommend them.

I've lived in Ocean Beach and even after moving frequent Ocean Beach dog beach. There is just no place else like it in San Diego. Part of going to the beach always includes stopping by at The OB Dog Wash to clean my kid (dog) up before going home. They have an awesome set up. All the bathtubs are raised to waist level so there is no bending over or back pain. They offer all kinds of shampoo, conditioner, and special treatments along with toys and accessories. The staff is super and very helpful. It's a reasonable price, $15 - $20 to wash your dog and have all the supplies and someone to clean up after you. HIghly recommend it if you never tried it you will surely be spoiled.
